Teacher Evaluation
Dan's desire to work with teachers more effectively as a building principal during the evaluation process led me to reconsider how it might be done in ways that would incorporate consideration for research based standards of teacher performance and research on adult motivation to learn. Dan piloted a process that incorporated self-assessment, the use of multiple data sources, and accountability process for teachers needing improvement. Corwin Press published Evaluating Teachers for Professional Growth in 2000.
